About Angelica
I believe that one of our most fundamental needs is the need for connection, both within ourselves and with others. I strive to create a collaborative space where clients can feel safe to explore their inner worlds and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
I believe that one of our most fundamental needs is the need for connection, both within ourselves and with others. In the therapeutic setting, this connection is essential to foster long-term change. I view therapy as a space where we can work together to explore the deeper patterns that shape your emotional life, relationships, and sense of self. Oftentimes, attachment injuries can operate outside of our awareness. As such, I believe it is essential to explore these unhealed parts in the therapeutic relationship.
My treatment approach is primarily psychodynamic; however, I also integrate elements of attachment theory, mentalization-based therapy, and emotion-focused therapy in sessions. Additionally, I am trained in clinical hypnosis and implement this approach in sessions as needed. I believe that the most effective treatment is one where we build insight, identify patterns, and develop a deeper awareness of how our past experiences continue to impact our understanding of ourselves and others.
I have worked in numerous different settings, including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, college counseling, and outpatient. As such, I have experience working with a wide range of concerns and levels of care. My clinical specialties and interests include working with grief and loss, trauma, attachment and relational patterns, sexuality and sexual concerns, personality disorders, and family dynamics. Additionally, I am in the process of completing psychoanalytic training at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. This has deepened my commitment to understanding the complexities of the human experience and allows me to bring a thoughtful, nuanced, and developmentally informed perspective to my work. I strive to create a collaborative space where clients can feel safe to explore their inner worlds and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
